DJ the Clown

Filed under: Uncategorized — dustybrown @ 6:07 pm

Its been kind of slow here….photographically speaking. But look who pops by today, those of you in the Grand Rapids area no him as DJ the Clown. DJ needs more photos for his trader cards. And if you have kids, those kids have birthdays, and for those birthdays you need DJ the Clown! Kids love him and some of you may remember him from a night out a Perkins on Northland on kids eat free night!!!! Tuesdays.

We actually met at a wedding a few years back. Lots of kids so the couple invites DJ to come to the reception and keep them entertained. I arrive at our kids school on Monday afternoon following the wedding and a man walks up to me and says, ” hey you probably don’t recognize me do you?” I says “nope”, he says Im “DJ the Clown!”

Turns out our kids go to the same school. So I feel honored knowing the images I took will be handed out to kids all over the GR area from Clown we call DJ:)

Busy as a bee

Filed under: Uncategorized — dustybrown @ 6:48 am

Hey all, I wanted to just drop in and let you know I’m still here! Since the Bridal Shows its been meeting brides and grooms like crazy. I am so excited about this year! We are super stoked and would like to thank all who are making it happen.

I have been reading the new U2 book that Autum got me for X-mas. If your a fan go get it. Its great I can’t put it down at night. Great band….My first cassette I ever purchased was U2 Live at red rocks. I was only 12 or 13 I think and have been a fan ever since. This book is really the 4 of them just telling of the times since they met up until now. Trust me its good:)

Next week looks like I can get caught up with adding daily to this blog.

Hey also I found this great 4 cd set of old punk and 80’s stuff that we would dance to at the clubs back in the late 80’s. Its called “left of the dial” if your interested in that stuff heres the link from Amazon
. Amazon.

I also have been busy overworking our packages and adding some great products. Stay tuned as next week I hope to have more info.

Back from Show

Filed under: Uncategorized — dustybrown @ 7:43 am

Hey everyone just wanted to say a quick thanks to all of you that came out to the Bridal Show this past weekend. We are back and it was so nice to meet you all. We are booking quickly now and if your date was available when you asked, please drop me a line and set an appointment to come in. I dont want to sound like this is a big advertisment but I would really like to be open to the ones who want us.

Ok so we get done wrapping up the Show last night and one of our neighbors is having us and a few others over for a Mexican Feast. Stacy and Paul (our neighbors) are due with baby in couple of weeks, and Stacys mom is a wonderful cook. I mean from the salsa to the “grandma’s spicy pork” it was all totaly the best. We were so stuffed. I just want to thank them so much. It was perfect!

After the total stuffing of food and a few cocktails we managed to relax with our good friends Dan and Patti in the Hottub. Thanks for the perfect ending to that great day!

I wish I had photos, so next time I’ll tell it in a photograph!

Here is a photo of Gibby and Rabbi. I made this into a poster and gave it to Clover for X-mas. How cute!

Dentist

Filed under: Uncategorized — dustybrown @ 10:05 am

Ok I’m back from the dentist and was thinking how harsh I sounded about being an “anti-dentit”. I apologize if you are a dentist or if you like dentistry. I am all for the advancement of healthy beautiful teeth. But I just dread going there.

I am off to the Bridal Show now and hope to see you there!

Apple

Filed under: Uncategorized — dustybrown @ 11:06 am

Well it seems that Apple is doing very well around our house. Years ago, before I ever touched a PC. I was a Mac SNOB! I hated anything PC. Mac was it. I convinced a few friends to get the imac’s and they were like what is this piece of crap. They were used to the PC. Well I left the MacWorld about 3 or 4 years ago. Only because the software I use for ordering and Albums is only for the PC. SO I got my first PC and put the Macs away. To be honest the PC never crashes, never, (knock on wood). The Mac’s crashed alot. I work in the commercial photo world with loads of RAM and Gigabyte this and Gigabyte that….still crashing.

Speed up to now and over X-mas. First the kids get there own ipods….thanks Santa. And as a surprise to Autum I get her an ipod, but this sucker comes preloaded with all of her old favorite 80’s bands, The Cure, Depeche Mode, some punk stuff and “new wave” bands. I had a ball going through it all. Any way, all in all we have 4 ipods in the house.

If you don’t know already, I am a musician also, so I go the apple website and get me a Mac-Mini. Just for garageband. I am in the process of creating music for photographers to use legally, and garageband has some great components to it. So now I am a Mac Man again….well really I’m “Bi”, right? I use both.

At Target the other day I see the Apple Hi-Fi there and its on clearance. Well now we jam with our ipods and listen to the apple boom box to.

Thanks Apple for making great products and for finally having me Back in Mac.

This is Alison. What a peach! She was great yesterday. Look at those cheeks. WOW. I will be seeing Alison a few times a year in the Baby’s First Year Program. Can’t wait to see her grow.

Enjoy.
